Long road out in the countryside

Seven – a magical number, and often a lucky one. As I reflect on the seven year anniversary of RiverRoad, I see the magic, yet I also see the motivation and dedication that has fueled our growth to make us the trusted service provider in the waste and recycling industry today.

As a handful of people gathered together in a small office in 2010, it was exciting to begin our plans to expand. We reveled in the vision of being more than what we were and how we could make a real difference in the lives of our clients, partners, team members, and community. That vision holds true today and our team is committed to our renewed purpose to “Give more than we take – to each other, our clients and our community.”

It’s humbling to look back at our journey over the past seven years. I sincerely appreciate the lessons learned and the milestones celebrated. I am so grateful and inspired by the people I have had the honor to meet.  Today though, I am thinking much more about RiverRoad’s future than its past because what matters most now is what we do next.

The industry is ever-evolving and we must evolve as well. Regulatory pressures, such as the recent New York City single stream imperative, compel us to keep thinking out of the “recycling bin” as we develop innovative sustainable solutions for our clients going forward. Technological advancements that enable us to provide seamless business engagements via our myRoad™ platform while enhancing the user experience for our client and vendor partners is paramount to us as we make strides towards a seamless mobile environment.

While this desire to innovative propels us forward, our mission keeps us on course – we remain steadfast in providing transparency through technology-driven solutions that produce exceptional results.
